Fond du Lac, WI - The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership, Inc. (DFP) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Dusty Krikau as the new Director of Communication & Special Events. Krikau serves as the primary contact for media relations, organizational communication and special events, including the downtown Farmers Market and Fondue Fest.
Krikau brings more than ten years of experience planning large scale events in addition to her knowledge of communication, social media, web development, and relationship management to the DFP.

We view her hiring as a sign of our commitment to continued growth of the DFP with her extensive experience in volunteer and community engagement. We are very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Dusty’s caliber to fulfill this role. We’re confident Dusty will play a key role in implementing continued growth in the communication and special events of the DFP.”
Prior to joining the Fond du Lac community, Krikau organized events for universities and neighborhood communities ranging in size from 5,000 to 20,000 individuals, including fundraising events, educational conferences, and cultural celebrations. She most recently worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for The Volunteer Center of Fond du Lac County.
Krikau holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Communication from of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and completed her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel and Administration at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The DFP is the administrative arm of the Business Improvement District, which is comprised of 293 businesses, 76% of which are locally owned.
