The Downtown Fond du Lac Farmers Market is moving to Main Street beginning Saturday, May 9th and will be open for customers from 8 a.m. to noon.
Step out from the behind the screen on Saturday morning to connect with friends in real life by enjoying the pedestrian zone on Main Street from Sheboygan Street to Western Avenue.
Vendors at the Market will provide ample selection of items perfect for Mother’s Day. Potted and hanging plants, handcrafted soap and bath products, locally roasted coffee beans, or artisan jewelry and pottery are just a small sample of the items available. This weekend will also feature local musicians Josh Schneider and Sam Cruz playing on the corner of 2nd and Main.
The Farmers Market accepts EBT, credit and debit cards. You can swipe your card at the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Information Tent on the corner of 2nd and Main to receive wooden tokens which are used like cash at participating vendor booths. For EBT, use your Wisconsin QUEST card at the Information Tent.
The Farmers Market vendors are just one half of the retail options on Saturday mornings. The Bagelmeister or Connie’s Café are great places to get started with breakfast. Many local businesses, such as The Goldsmith, Trista Holz Studios, Reflexions Salon & Spa, Personal Touch Flowers & Gifts, Jack’s Team Sports, or Wood’s Floral & Gifts, will also be open and providing a wide array of products and services just in time for Mother’s Day gift shoppers.
The Downtown Farmers Market is presented by Agnesian Healthcare, United Healthcare and Gannett Media.
With the new location, Saturday morning parking on Main Street will be restricted May through October from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. New permanent signs will be installed.
